Meetings run smoother with fewer interruptions, and this UK private Bank wanted to save time and increase efficiency when servicing their meeting rooms and Executive Conference Rooms in their Grade-2 listed building in London. With anything from 1500-1600 clients a week using the meeting spaces, the level of service had to be exceptional and they wanted a delivery system that made ordering refreshments simple yet created minimal disruption. VEGA Europe were invited to advise on the best solutions that were on the market, but it transpired that nothing met all the requirements needed. The Bank had a vision of a service whereby the client could place their refreshment order from a meeting room and it would be delivered within 5 minutes.

Tio eliminates the need for a member of catering staff to visit a meeting room at the start of, or during meetings and write down requests for each guest. Using iPad mini’s, this familiar and intuitive interface displays menu options for drinks, snacks and other refreshments, making ordering easy. An audible and visible alert is received in the
kitchen and staff send an acknowledgement via the touch screen panel directly back to the meeting room.
