For just over 4 years, Akamai has worked with Vega Europe to design and implement audio visual, video conferencing and collaboration solutions in their global offices.
To support their global infrastructure, Akamai was looking for a flexible support and maintenance package that would provide both a technical help desk, and on-site engineering/repairs if required. Of course, cost-effectiveness was also high on the agenda.
The best “fit” for Akamai was to opt for Vega’s Flexi-Ticket Support. This allowed Akamai to benefit from all the usual support services you would expect from a comprehensive SLA, but with the cost-effectiveness of a pay-as-you-go contract. All engineering call-outs were fulfilled using pre-purchased tickets. This enabled Akamai to keep support costs to a minimum, only paying for services when they needed them.
