Vega installation shortlisted at AV Awards 2018

We are thrilled to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for the AV Awards ‘Corporate/ Enterprise Project of the Year’ for our installation at a Health IT Company!

Winners to be announced on 28th September 2018.

Vega Europe were engaged to provide professional services, design and implementation of audio-visual technologies and video conferencing within GE Healthcare’s (GEH) newly stripped-back offices based in Amersham Place, Little Chalfont, Buckinghamshire. The project also required the integration and relocation of an existing immersive telepresence suite from their Pollards Wood offices.

Each meeting room was installed with Skype for Room systems, varying sized Samsung displays and Barco wireless presentation devices, as well as room booking panels outside each individual room. A smaller set up was installed in multiple huddle rooms. All solutions provided have the capability to evolve organically allowing for the potential additional growth of the business. The building effectively works as one unit, with booking rooms and desks allowing for collaborative working across global offices.

The industrial-looking ceilings in the open areas of the building came with acoustic issues due to the base build ceiling being concrete (which is 99% reflective of sound). Vega advised, supplied and installed absorbent fabric ceiling panels using plain grey fabrics to create better acoustics whilst still offering the aesthetics of an industrial look. The colourful meeting room circle acoustic wall panels were used to reduce reverberation and enhance the aesthetics of the rooms. Due to a large number of hard surfaces (marble floors/glass partitions), the reception panels were installed to add the WOW factor whilst still offering a class A acoustic rating.

Working with GEH enabled a successful, aesthetically pleasing office environment, as well as the integration of state-of-the-art technology.

We are very pleased with the overall response we have received from GE’s staff who were very excited to start using some of the new technology within their new office HQ!
